FELICIA AMOW

F. AmowFelicia, a mom who gave up her career to stay at home to raise her two beautiful children (and hone her cookie baking skills), was plunged into the world of Belle when Belle’s Editor-in-Chief picked her as our advertising sales representative. But Felicia has been much more than that to Belle. A first issue is always challenging, and this accomplice had the unenviable job of convincing advertisers to spend their dollars on this worthwhile endeavour; which she did with grace and charm. This university graduate and gifted communicator embodies the fun and brilliance of Belle, and provides the ‘chin up’ on many a challenging day.

AYANA KIRTON

A. KirtonAyanna is the former editor-in-chief for Jamaica’s party bible Whaddat.com and reporter for the Caribbean’s leading daily publication, the Gleaner. She holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Tourism Management and a Master of Arts in Communications Studies. She has been a writer for over 6 years and currently works in Marketing and Public Relations in Jamaica. Ayanna is certainly a charming individual and one of Belle’s most gifted writers.

RISHMA MOHAMMED

R. MohammedRishma, Belle’s profi cient Editor at Large, never misses an opportunity to improve an article or story. This vibrant young woman has attained Bachelor of Arts qualifi cations in both Literatures in English and Linguistics, worked with the Newsday newspaper and developed her portfolio as a freelance writer and educator with a great interest in remedial education and speech pathology. Rishma has indeed proven to be one of Belle’s best assets. Thumbs up for a job well done!

NAZMEEN SALFARLIE

N. SalfarlieNazmeen Salfarlie, a Caribbean born lawyer currently residing in the United States, and co-owner of a New York law firm, has been Belle’s project coordinator from the start. This beauty sizzled at the idea of a Caribbean women’s magazine that sought to outshine them all, and not only handled Belle’s legal matters but also had the challenging job of sourcing and coordinating Belle’s writers and photographers in the Caribbean and abroad. Most importantly, she has certainly inspired us with brilliant ideas for content and display. Nazmeen often jokes that one day she will leave the Law profession to work with Belle on a full time basis- and this we certainly look forward to. (smiles)
